Well, you don't actually "move" the station's frequency. The carrier stays
put. But, it is a form of Single Sideband -- however it is not Single
Sideband, Suppressed Carrier, like hams use. It certainly reduces sideband
splatter in the direction that the sideband is reduced. If there is a
first-adjacent station close by with which you wish to not interfere, this
is the way to do it.
