After you have done all of the obvious checks for a
real problem and just before you start changing
filter boards, be sure you have the latest firmware
version chips loaded on the plug-in board with all
the little square chips over toward the right hand
side of the card cage. BTW while a roof leak will
create filter board faults so will bugs - anything
with legs that will reach from one trace to another.
This is especially true on the horizontal boards
under the plastic guards. Those bugs conduct inductor
blowing current. Remember, not all fan assemblies fit
tightly enough to stop bugs. Look out especially for
the older triangular lower cabinet sections from
about 10 years ago.

> Last Month I spent three days with a Harris field tech replacing the filter boards that go on the surface that isolates the RF sections from the control sections in a Z20 (combined Z10's) that had a roof leak into it. These filter cards (About $100 each) are relatively easy to replace. They go between the ribbon cables above the shelf and the ribbon cables below the shelf.
