[BC] 2 KYDS stations?

Google my station, KKTY, and you'll get hits that list it as the school 
station at Bayview High School... on "Saved By the Bell" back in the 80's. I 
believe we picked up the calls in '92, after the show was off (I think).

Not sure how many are familiar with Focus on the Family and their ministries 
but I noticed that one of their programs Adventures in Odyssey has a "fake" 
radio station called KYDS that they sometimes will format their episode of 
Adventures in Odyssey into a KYDS broadcast format where they tell stories 
or have fake news and other things that they play on them. Well I was 
curious and googled KYDS.

Evidently there is a real station in California with the call sign of KYDS

Because Adventures in Odyssey is using the name for a fictitious radio 
station does that mean they can use those call signs even though they are 
not associated with the station KYDS? They do announce in the program things 
like this is so and so reporting for KYDS radio. I was just curious what the 
rules where for the use of station IDs.
