No, got a good display on the spectrum analyzer. The
particular satellite is Galaxy 16, at 99 degrees, At our
location in WV, there are a number of birds quite close
together at that angle. When we first set up a mesh dish
several years ago we had a hard time picking out the
particular transponder on the S/A; this new solid dish
hasn't gained us much. However, enough on the display to be
able touch up the dish alignment & to peak the LNB's
polarization.

The particular Comstream was slow to lock at the network's
20' receive dish, so my suspicion is that it is getting very
tired. (Was supplying ample voltage to the LNB). We're
picking up another one this morning (maybe). They are
planning to swap out the Comstreams for XDS receivers
shortly.

One problem setting a dish up these days is these digital
receivers sit there and mock you until they get enough
signal to lock. Even then, there is enough delay that the
E/B displays are not that useful for peaking the dish.
Unlike the old analog video receiver where you find some
kind of signal then peaked for best signal strength. Don't
think there are many analog feeds on these birds
anymore--and try and find an analog receiver. Gone the way
of Betamax players.
