Then again, this is a real improvement.  In the 80s and 90s, their  
rule was "nothing within a mile of an AM transmitter."  There was no  
way they would consider an AM radiator.

I couldn't get them to consider a shunt fed AM, even though the tower  
was grounded.  This was a rule for them.  Both AT&T and Motorola would  
not warrant their equipment if it was within a mile of an AM station,  
regardless of power.  Stupid, to be sure.
