[BC] Towers & Birdbrians: No reasoning with fanatics

Quick read--the "compromise" supposedly reached to restrict
rules to towers > than 450 feet thrown out; (Note: Waste of
time to try compromising with fanatics or Democrats, not
that there much difference in this administration); must now
file public notice (with effective date of rules) for all
new towers requiring registration; steady red lighting
preferred over flashing red lights (go shoot out those
traffic light flashers--you are doing the good work for the
Audubon Society); more paperwork more expense.

This is, of course, what the anti-tower nuts wanted: force
strobes on everyone--so they can then gin up local
opposition to those "evil towers with strobe lights."

Of course there is a Washington angle here--the ever-helpful
consultants will be glad to take your money to get that new
tower through by navigating the NEPA/SHPA maze.
