I agree. That Ouncer rang like crazy. I used to replace them with special
Straight Wire Audio input cards that Bill Sacks would modify to run on a
single ended supply. WCAP in Lowell MA's MW-5A still has one in it.

I believe that was a Peerless Input transformer not a UTC.   In either case is
was better the "ouncer" input transformer on the MW-5 and MW-5o's with the
ME-1 enhancer sending a clipped audio sign in ti saturate the transformer
core.
