Chip is correct that it was WEAM rather than WPGC. Gary Hess, who worked 
there, told me at that time about the RCA  BTA-5U at WEAM and the 
supermodulation. (The BTA-5U used pair or 3CX3000s and a 5762 just like the 
BTA 5T, IIRC, and was only physically different.)
(I was thinking it was a BTA-10U, but if you were 
there......................)
