Linux... desktop? What is this you speak of? ;)

Unfortunately it's a Windows world most of the time, so i run a Win7
desktop, most of my servers however are Linux or FreeBSD.

The last time i used a linux based desktop was quite a while ago and i
found it almost unusable.
