   I don't think so.  (the 6CA7=EL34 alright though)

The basing is close, but the suppressor grid is different.
The plate of the 6CA7 can dissipate 24 Watts.
The plate of the 6550 can dissipate 42 Watts.

      The KT88, KT90, and 6550, although not identical, are often interchangeable
