I'm sure many victims in New Orleans would have given anything for a
baked potato(e). I watched much of the disaster coverage and rarely
saw or heard a radio. Many people commented that they got their
information from word of mouth, especially the fashion God at FEMA.
There are two sources I trust: the NWS weather radio for weather and
2 meter Ham for traffic. You know my feelings about EAS.

Now contrast that with everyone sitting in traffic in their cars on the morning of
Sept. 11th, 2001.
And yes, I do know your views on EAS. But we have only so much bandwidth here.
I've never had any luck with 2m for traffic! What repeaters are you monitoring?
But again-another topic.......
And I'll be careful not to get too close to any Wendy's franchises without a disguise.
