I prefer a big ugly mob. Even a big goodlooking mob. A friend of 
mine, when I lived in Boston, was the brother of the first Prime 
Minister of Bangladesh. His brother was assassinated   He was amazed 
that Americans were so passive. If a train is late, we sit and take 
it (the abuse, then the train). In Bangladesh, if it's late, people 
are often so angry they'll overturn it. Not in their best interest if 
the need to go somewhere but they let their displeasure be known.

I think the Jeffersonian concept of a revolution every 20 years is 
not a bad idea.
