"space-charge"... almost sounds like something from the Sci Fi channel. <g> 
Seriously, what is the story with these devices? In all my years of browsing 
surplus magazines, I have *never* come across them. I can only assume that they 
must be as rare has hen's teeth... either that, or all of the smart folks who 
prey upon the gullible audiophools, have scarfed 'em all up, and are going to 
start making 12v (gel cell) portables with them, and sell them for $thousands, 
because they use "all tubes".

Looks like it's time to start Googling...
