[BC] A Question.....

The old fashioned way. Go to the area. Talk with others already at the
station about desirable areas and less than desirable areas. Your lifestyle
will also have a bearing. Active night life? Then you want to be closer
to the part of town which is hip. The only way to ascertain this is to
simply go there and drive the area.

Look in the phone book in the room of the hotel you stay to get the
names/numbers of the local utilities. But you need a place to live first
before trying to hook up utilities and such.

There are SO many factors to consider that there volumes written on this
subject.
