In my extensive wanderings with an HD Radio I didn't find the delay
to be a problem. I was ready to hear 8 second differences between
analog and digital. I didn't. In most cases I didn't hear much
difference at all between analog and digital. I blame that on
stations processing both the same.

I hope people aren't going to use the Boston Acoustics radio as a
monitor or reference. If the HD version is based on the analog
version its response is bottom heavy with a limited high end. If you
set your processing for it, anyone with a Kenwood or Yamaha will find
fine crystal shards all over the place. Even coffee mugs will
shatter. Since no one has one or plans to carry it here (90 miles
from Boston), I can only assume the everything is the same except the tuner.

The analog version is a wonderful, if modest fidelity, radio. Great
selectivity and sensitivity. I can even hear WOAI faintly in the
noise nearly 1700 miles away.
