If they are doing this and they have one of the all-in-one processors from 
Orban or others, they are wasting the capability of the processing. With 
our FM/HD processors, a given output can be switched from FM analog to HD 
processing with far less effort than it takes to install a Y connector. 
It's incomprehensible to me why a broadcaster who had such a box would not 
take advantage of its full power.

I know for a fact that many west coast stations with 8500s are using them 
as designed.
