Because: This actaully makes sense, so we can't allow that. 

Also, the CC Controlled "Dominion" doesn't want it that way. We all know CC knows what is best for everyone. 

By the way, how about some brave souls, doing NO processing on the HD2? None. FLAT. Let the end user tweak it as desired, or not. ??? I mean, if it's "near CD quality" and all.
