         Yeah... I am.  Back in the day .. most of the
         national voices were those that had the
         midwestern, sort of "neutral" accent.

         Not true locally, of course.  But most of
         the big names that made it to TV and
         national syndication were so.

         Ingram seemed "extremely New York"
         and may not have "worked" in other markets.
         Morrow, like BMR, seemed to transcend
         the "localness" in a way that did not diminish
         their local audience, but allowed them to
         reach out to other groups.
