if you make rx that aren't vy sensitive and boost the power of _your_
station 10 x more than the competition, what station do you think those
cheap rx you sell are going to be tuned to? <g>

That's always been my understanding too -- in the final analysis, it was all
about the receivers. Most Crosley radios were not particularly sensitive,
so
the 'solution' was to make the signal stronger.
