[BC] Digital Interference

WAY back when... 1962 I believe, the station I was working for (KSFR in San
Francisco) and only 7 others got the award and I distinctly remember WGBH
was on of the 7. At KSFR the only processing used was a Fairchild Conax.
These were not normally used for broadcast but rather in conjunction with
vinyl mastering lathes! Did we sound great. On this custom built console you
had selector buttons that allowed listening to each of the inputs thru the
Tannoy monitors. You couldn't tell the difference when you switched from
listening to the turntable output to the on-air signal which came from a
professional Fisher FM tuner. The line amps were made by Langevin (a San
Francisco based company)into 15kc loops. I'm sure most in here know of the
Langevin line. Anyway...yes...GBH was and still is one of the best I'm sure.
