Hmm. It seems that we've at last reached the core of the whole argument
against 'religious' broadcasting. You consider it 'propaganda'. Doubtless
there are many who would agree. However, the continued viability of
Christian radio outlets (many of which are wholly listener-supported) would
suggest that there are also many who would regard this soi-disant
'progaganda' as being rather more important than traffic reports from the
local interstate. Both sides are certainly entitled to their opinions, but
as a person who evidently prides himself on understanding the wants and needs
of the listening public, it might be a wiser policy to seek to understand
what motivates this portion of the radio audience, rather than simply
dismissing them as a mob of ignorant crazies.

Of course, there's nothing to prevent a station from doing *both* --i.e.
carrying both Christian content *and* traditional 'public service' type
programming. I've had the privilege of working with many Christian formatted
stations over the years that do just that, with notable success.

In the end, I quite like Donna's (and her Mom's!) approach, that we treat
others as we'd like to be treated ourselves. Come to think of it, I seem to
recall that being a prominent part of the message espoused by a certain
Jewish carpenter from Galilee as well.

Ok, enough pontificating. Time to get back to debugging this gnarly bit of
code...

Cheers!
