Tell me, why would you throw out a Field Meter??? The old
Nems-Clarke, RCA's and Vitro's are still very reliable
instruments. I have three of them that I run on a series string of 9
Volt batteries and they are in agreement with my recently calibrated
FIM-41. The older units may not be quite as convenient but they can
be just as accurate and certainly just as portable.
Maybe the person that paid almost $800 for a Nems-Clarke on eBay
knows what a new one costs and isn't so crazy after all. The next
time anyone wants to throw one out, call me first. I'll gladly pay
the shipping.
