Thanks Harold, interesting.
Quite a few years ago I think WBNW 1120 in Concord MA did a
DX test with a nondirection patern but I don't remember if
the used one thousand watts or five thousand watts. Since
the station is authorized to be directional both day and
night I guess this was illegal operation.
I wondered why directional stations that do DX tests wouldn't
do them with nondirectional antennas so now I know.
