I couldn't even get them to blow by heaving >10lb rocks at them! The rock
swould just bounce off, leaving a nasty scratch. It's truly amazing, just how
strong the faces of the things are! Turn 'em around, tho, and even a small 8 oz
rock popped 'em with ease.

I wouldn't know... as soon as the rock left my hand, I wheeled around to
protect my face & eyes from possible flying glass! The gully was about 5 feet
deep, and fairly steep, so it usually contained it all, but once in a while, a
small piece landed nearby.

Oh, most definately! I remember back as far as when I was 7, taking a pair of
pliers with me, walking around the neighborhood looking for "curbside
specials" and taking the speakers out of them. I had a fascination with speakers when
I was little... couldn't get enough of 'em, and hooked 'em up to whatever
radios I could get at! Invariably, though, they'd fall off the bed, dresser, etc,
and get torn... then it was back to hunting for new ones!

I remember the ads, yes.
