TELL US WHAT YOUR LEVEL OF INTEREST IS:
Would you like to:
1.) Hear an informative talk about the beginnings of electronic
telecommunications, reaching back to how telegraphy began and led to
radio, with a focus on its personalities - people like Oersted,
Gauss, Faraday, Morse, Ohm and others right up to Marconi, Fessenden
and Sarnoff?
2.) Go on a guided tour to the places where they did it in the US,
Canada. Italy, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Sweden and other
places, to stand where they stood, and see what they left for us today?
The object here is to present the history of what we work with and
what everyone uses in a humanized, personal form....not the usual dry
history lectures about old men with long gray beards we saw in the books.
Write a message about your level of interest, including your
suggestions about when and where you'd like to:
1.) Engage a discussion;
2.) Take a tour.
If you have a personal hero, tell us who it is, and whether you want
to visit where that person lived and worked.
It can't be free, so your help is needed to tell how much you can
afford for each and where you'd find it most reasonable to go for each.
