Rich, I use a program called WxMessage that takes in weather data from
GOES-12 called EMWIN. The program lets me set up alarms for whatever I want
like TORAKQVA.TXT that will give me a tornado warning for my area. It set
the program to text message me on my cell phone so I get the warning. This
happens usually one to two minutes before the EAS gets it. Almost any
weather product can be set up to go to any cell phone as long as you have an
text message email address.
I can do this for anywhere in the US.
The EMWIN data is free the program is $45.00
Go here to find out more about it http://www.wxmesg.com/index.htm
Works good for radio stations also (zone forecasts & warnings).

I have a Radio Shack 12-250 that allows multiple codes. 5, I think.
