I've been there and done that for many years having done remotes as both
talent and engineer. I'll bet there are terabytes of text that we could
all write on remote war stories on this list.

I believe Wireless IP connections will eventually be the wave of the
future for the most part. We are working on the wireless solution as we
speak. And from talking with all of you at shows and on the phone IP
Audio is Topic #1 in everyone's mind. So I thought I'd let you know....

We *DO* have Wired IP Audio available *right now* and have had since
September. We're a conservative lot and have been working quietly on IP
Audio and didn't want to release it until it was proven to be working
(which it is doing so quite nicely and there are many more improvements
to come). It is in a platform that's been out for almost two years (as
in "it's stable") so you *won't* be dealing with all new equipment which
is "buggy" in the first 6 months of release as all of you know.

In fact I was assisting an engineer the last few days who's contributed
to this list in his testing of the Tieline IP audio. He was actually
chuckling with glee at how amazing IP Audio was performing over a plain
Internet connection.

For those of you in the Columbus OH, area, I'll be making a presentation
at the Ohio Association of Broadcaster's Convention this Monday on "The
New IP Revolution: Using Wired and Wireless IP for Remotes" at 2:55pm
