John,
In Kuwait, the IBB station has a Marconi 600kW mediumwave souped up with the Continental Solid State Modulator and a seven tower array, slewable. Most of the slew positions were designed to give 5.6 dB gain, but the array when slewed towards Pakistan/Afgahnastan had a 8dB gain. That will knock the socks off anything here. We had about a 92% efficiency in the PA stage thanks to the third harmonic traps in the grid and plate circuits.
Have a nice day John,
Bruce

OK, y'all win. MARTI isn't licensed by FCC..but by a different inept group. I
kind wish we had 500 kW, but even at 250, it's a hell of a signal. 35 watts of
PSK31 into the rhombics works wonders on 20 meters also.
