[BC] Warning on Apple

Warning #1. Never buy anything with a mail-in rebate. There have been
more consumer compliants on rebates than identity theft. I have experienced
rebate fraud at least 3 times in the last year. I've actually walked out
of a few places which have advertised rebates and told one manger that I'm
done with rebating. "Give me a cash discount and they deal with the "store
rebate" or I'm not buying." It's just not worth the headaches.
It's my understanding Dell was one of the worst offenders. Turns out the
rebate house was under strict orders from Dell to deny as many as they
could for even the smallest reason. It seems anything going to something
America in South Dakota, which is where the rebate houses are, tend to have
the worst performance.
Warning #2, never buy from a campus salesman.
