THAT's an interesting idea! My wife has a several year old VAIO laptop.
Since the CD drive is external, it doesn't get much use (most CD installs
are done over the network from another machine). I just got a new HP
laptop a few weeks ago when my 10 year old Compaq laptop died. Got it
home, put disk one of Fedora Core 4 in the DVD drive and hit the power
switch. Bye bye Windoze! Works great!
