A little more on Sam Phillip's board.......
According to the book "Elvis, his life from A to Z", the console was an
RCA 76D and was used on many of Elvis' first recordings including
"That's All Right [Mama]". The book, by Fred Worth and Steve D.
Tamerius, on page 168-169 says "the console serial @ was 1011 and was
previously used in a Florida radio station". The photo in the book bears
a striking resemblence to the photo link I posted but is missing the
left side VU meter.
