I tend to play by the rules as best I understand them. May be part of the
reason I'm not rich... Anyway, on fuzzy lines, my father had an electronic
manufacturing company from 1950 until he sold in in the early 1970s (see
http://www.hallikainen.org/hi). I think his accountants were Arthur
Anderson. Anyway, I guess at one point the IRS didn't like something
they'd done. He told me that you have to lose now and then or else you're
not close enough to the line and giving money away.
