most alarms are using 300 baud modems, as long as they are set to either 4+2
and SIA format, and NOT contactID, (which happens to be the dafualt on most
panels) then the call should go through. I've seen this work myself with my
Fire Burglary Instruments system and many others in VOIP forums have
reported success with their systems.

In order to get it working though youll need to keep the bandwidth cranked
at its highest setting, your not going to be able to conserve bandwidth and
make data calls.
