The modem is for the fax. The only fax than can be used is a 
dedicated machine. You can't use a computer. I need a line to 
activate and setup a new Tivo. Once the Tivo is set up I use WiFi for 
program schedules and to let them spy on me, If you have DirecTV you 
can't use any kind of Vonage line. I called them. They told me.

It's great for voice.
