What flavor is your Tivo?  Series 2?  if so, you can use the USB port on the
Tivo to hook into your broadband connection.  I have been using mine like
that with a USB/Ethernet adapter for three years now.  I also have Vonage
with the fax line for the last two years.  No prob with either.
