Yep, watched those shows when they WERE new!

Bud Collier hosted 'Beat the Clock'. Who remembers what the ultimate 
winning stunt was?? (It had to do with a hat.)

Then there was John Daly, Dorothy Kilgallen, Bennet Cerf, Arlene Francis, 
etc. Many, many brain cells wasted that I would need later to learn cart 
maintenance technology. Who knew ....

The thing was the surfeit of ... gasp ... personality. It still works, 
folks! They did not need Stern and the diaper caper, and so on. Of course, 
they couldn't have even mentioned 'WC' or pregnancy. Things are better now.
