[BC] Match Game '74

I have asked a contact at TV City if this series was dubbed in "Jurassic Park," an area that was constructed in TV City specifically to dub old 2" quad tapes to D-2. I believe that Ampex AVR-1 VTRs were used for the 2" source material in this dubbing facility.

Jurassic Park was active for many years. Yes, 2" VTRs had to be purchased, and 2" VTR maintenance personnel had to be brought back to reestablish a 2" operation that had previously been closed when 1" and D-2 tape formats became prevalent.

I will confirm this information when I hear from the City.

The *entire* Goodson-Todman library? That's a heckuva lot
of tape to ship cross-country and back, and the dubs from
NY to LA. It was probably cheaper to pay CBS to buy those
quads, although I'm surprised that there was no one else
in LA who could do it. Perhaps the sheer quantity scared
others away from the project.
