Annoying credit squeezes (was: Re: [BC] Match Game)

I've seen at least one cable network simply refer viewers to its website
if they want to read the credits.

I don't agree that credit squeezes are here permanently.  More and more
people are getting annoyed with all the promo clutter on air, and simply
go out and buy the programs they like on DVD.  I've done quite a bit of
that myself.  Not that there are any rocket scientists running network
promotion departments, but eventually you'd think that they might realize
that the crap and clutter is driving viewers away...
