You know, Mike..you got me remembering even more.  Listening to those 
recordings, i can hear my multiple time constant release time system on 
that wideband processor of mine on the first two examples in that you 
were listening to.

Funny thing is, I was able to come up with that concept,and scheme up a 
way to do it after highly disliking the horriffic pumping that I heard 
on the first processor I managed to design.

Keep in mind I was doing all this stuff, and had no reall idea what I 
was doing.  I just wanted my station to sound like the professional ones 
int he worst way.  It was an obsession to the max.  Anyone who knew me 
back then could back that up!

Some of those designs went against all conventional thoughts on the 
proper way to build a compressor!  :-)

Man those days were fun!
