I am very sorry to hear that! <:(
Please remember... just because someone (or some organization) calls themself
"Christian" doesn't mean that it is true.
The Bible says, "The workman is worthy of his hire." For any organization
that calls itself "Christian" to disregard this principle is reprehensible. They
will answer to a Higher Authority, for sure.
That same Bible also gives plenty of warnings about pride and it's
destructive effects. If they allow themselves the self-delusion that "God is on their
side" when they are clearly violating His Word... well, they'll answer for it.
There *are* reputable, Biblically-run orgaizations out there. Many of these
are quietly laboring away in the background, though, preferring it that way.
They tend to eschew the limelight. I am very thankful to be working for a
Company that has integrity. I wouldn't still be here after 18+ years, if this were
not true.
In the future, I'd ask about affiliation with the NRB or another Christian
Financial Accountability auditor. Stations or orgs that affiliate with them are
subject to careful bookkeeping scrutiny. If they are members of such groups,
you can be quite sure that they have integrity, and *will* pay their bills...
even if it means they have to break it down into several payments, they *will*
pay it.
Willie...
