likes. to guage my operation i was going 3/4 mile on a good car radio

thought i was legal and explained that to this guy.<<

Did he leave any paperwork or a business card behind?

If you have any doubts as to whether this "agent" is for real, check
with the FCC district office for your area.  They'll tell you whether
he's legit.
