[BC] TV weather

My first work in TV was wiping the weather map clean after the 6 & 10 newscasts...

I don't know if this is urban legend or fact, but I recall hearing many years ago
that the weather guys at WGN in Chicago couldn't draw on their maps, because that
was the jurisdiction of the staff artists.  The artwork was certainly more
elaborate than chalk or dry erase marker on a board...

And I remember the days of "thunderstorms east of a line extending from 20 miles
southwest of Ottumwa, Iowa to 25 miles east-northeast of Secaucus, New Jersey..."
George Carlin had a great line about that...
