In many cases the person doing the hiring is younger and much less
experienced and you become a threat. Gone are the days when you hire
people more qualified than you are in a particular specialty. With
companies having no loyalty to their employees (yet expecting loyalty
from you) even the person hiring is insecure.
Anyone looking for a job is now going to have to compete with ABC
Radio employees bailing or getting canned. The two companies have
vastly different cultures. It'll be much like the Cap Cities takeover
of ABC. They cut to the bone, much the way Tisch did with CBS.
