I never met Al but heard he was one heck of a guy and when it came to those arrays he was brilliant. Never heard a bad word about him.

PS: My best buddy in the biz (we went to college in San Francisco at the same time) ,who now lives in Seattle, was born and raised in San Luis Obisbo. He was raised on the AM station there in the 50's. KSLY??? Top-40 maybe??

  I worked with Al Towne quite a bit down here in the San Luis Obispo area
  in the 1970s. He did several of the DAs in this area.
