I wasn't much for Howdy Doody, and Kukla, Fran and Ollie were cute, but a little below my grade level -- TV didn't come to Denver until 1952, if you recall.  Now, Ernie Kovacs, Sid Caesar, etc. -- that was special.  And Omnibus with Alistair Cooke.
