[BC] STL Options

While its been many years, I set up a 40-some odd mile hop
between Farmington, NM and Caviness Mountain in Colorado.
It was originally done with 8' Mark parabolic grids at each
end with Moseley PCL-6001 w/the then-available 15-watt optional
output. It was solid - transmitting analog composite stereo.
Its my understanding the after the transmitter failed - after
almost ten years, a standard (7w?) PCL-6001 was put in its
place - same antennas - and the path worked just as well.
It was line of sight - (there was an additional short-path
hop from the studio to the 40-some odd mile hop site; but that's
irrelevant to the conversation...

Subject: [BC] STL Options
I am looking for options to STL audio via microwave approximately 24 miles.
Is it possible to do this without hops? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
