You never know who the person is on the other end of the line.  Legend has it 
a night jock in Columbus had some "conversations" with the GMs underage 
daughter.  His tenure at the station didn't last long.

Now for a personal story.  I was in the production studio used for call 
screening our talk shows.  The string of numbers in the choke exchange is one digit 
off from a rocker.  One of the lines lit, so I answered.  The caller asked if 
I could play Stairway to Heaven.  Hadn't heard it for awhile so I said 
"sure."  When I got home about an hour later I played it.

Somewhere in the past days conversation someone mentions deft use of a razor 
blade to extend a song.  Remember The Horse?  I had a 10 minute version.  Also 
created an extended version of Steve Miller's The Joker.

Splicing tape was fun.
