One of my big regrets is that I didn't know enough, very early in my
career at WBZ, to realize that all those reels being hauled out from the
crawl space below radio master control to the dumpster out back were old
logger tapes that probably contained old Larry Glick shows and other
priceless material that wasn't saved anywhere else. Double grrrr.
I've learned since then, wherever I've worked, that if something's going
to get saved, I can't count on anyone else to do it. The rafters in my
attic may be creaking as a result, but at least when the ceiling in the
bedroom falls in on me and kills me in my sleep, it'll be for a good reason.
