[BC] AM Plate Modulation Concept

There are a lot of 160 and 80 meter operators who use broadcast transmitters. Some of 
that iron certainly can do 200% or better and many of those with BC gear use BC 
processors, although a simple clipper would work. 

Some of the old plate mod rigs had that ability. The problem is that for the casual HAM 
using a rig designed for SSB operation get AM as an after thought and certainly are not 
capable of supermod.

Years ago there was a transmitter that was similar to a Doughtery Amplifier turned upside 
down, the Taylor Super modulation System from the late 40's. Currently there is Society 
for the PROMOTION of ADVANCED MODULATION. See the following link part way down the page.
