Because "real radio" doesn't try to seize control of the way your radio
operates, or add components that you don't want. Perhaps it's because
audio CM's aren't quite as "in your face" as banner ads and popups.
Besides, everybody eventually needs a couple of minutes to go grab an
adult beverage, or to get rid of one... ;-)
I have no problem with an ad at the beginning of a connection to a
stream, something like "KXXX on the Internet is brought to you by...",
or even an occasional ad during the stream, if it's at a normal
break in programming. I also have no problem with paying for streaming
audio that has proven it's worth to me. There gets to be a point,
however, when advertising gets a little *too* obnoxious, or a little
*too much* clutter on the air...
